What would it be like to have a tango show at your private party or cultural or business event? You would be captivated by the passion and sophistication of Argentine tango! According to the critics:
“Fabián and his partner seem to merge into one, creating a unique harmony, when they dance tango. Their dance is characterised by its elegance, musicality and sensual expressiveness.”
Fabián Lugo is part of the new generation of Argentine tango dancers who have modernised tango, without neglecting the dance’s roots and its more classic forms. He has amassed many years’ experience working as a teacher, show dancer and choreographer, in both Europe and Argentina. He has also performed Argentine tango in many public shows and has appeared on radio and television.
You can book a tango show for any occasion: a private party, cultural event, as part of a live concert, etc.
Fabián grew up in the port city of Rosario which, together with Buenos Aires and Montevideo, is considered one of the birthplaces of tango. By the age of 23, he was already a major figure in the Rosario tango scene, thanks to his extensive work as a dancer and choreographer. He founded the Rosario milonga El Pochoclo which was soon to become a cultural centre which united musicians, dancers and lovers of tango. Fabián has studied with some highly renowned dancers, including Gustavo Naveira, Orlando Paiva and Julio Balmaceda. In 1998, he embarked on an international tour which took him – and his colleagues – to the United States, Italy, Switzerland, Austria and Germany. His other noteworthy achievements include his dance role in the sensational US show Sensual Tango Review.
Michaela Brandl de Lugo
Michaela Brandl de Lugo was born in Straubing, Bavaria. She learned to dance tango while studying voice at the Richard Strauss Conservatory in Munich in 2001. Fabián was her first tango teacher. In 2002, her passion for Argentine tango led her to Buenos Aires, where she took classes with tango veterans Eduardo and Gloria Arquimbau, among others. Thanks to her exceptional gift for tango, she gave her first performances with Fabián as early as 2002. She has been Fabián’s Argentine tango partner since 2011. Together with Fabián, she now runs the Tango Lugo school. Her many years of experience as a singing teacher have equipped her with valuable pedagogical skills which she brings to the tango classroom.
